Agility benefits nations wanting to crack something, because they can force you to pick an insecure combination. This has happened in the real world several times before.
And what they will get is "haha! It was only 230 hours and we cracked their ... oh, there's another dozen sparse files inside that and it's a different combo..." I can automate encrypted sparse files all the way down each showing a size between 5PB and 40PB which a lot of forensic software will try to copy as a non sparse file.
Fuses are very imprecise devices. A 10A fuse won't really protect you from an overload of 20A. It could take an hour to blow or not blow at all. Both the 10A and 20A fuse will protect you from 1000A short circuits.
This sounded surprising and so I picked the first fuse I could find on RS and looked at its datasheet [1].
The characteristic curve shows that the 10A fuse is expected to blow after about 4s at 20A. Of course there's sample-to-sample variation and different ambient conditions etc, but how do those four seconds become "an hour to blow or not blow at all"?
My bedside lamp has a 1mm (or thinner) wire. If it faulted out and drew 10a the RCD won’t blow, but the wire will melt. Not immediately, but after a while.
The 3A fuse will melt long before the wire though.
Yeah, so I'm not buying unnecessary crap this year.
If the "system" wants to drive more consumption, it's on the "system" to put more buying power into my hands. Double my salary, reduce my taxes, make BTC do a big run up, something. Otherwise I'm happy staying put.
Which proves the outrage is about the method of deportation (black-bag Hispanic looking people, tear up their birth certificate in front of them) and not about the number of people deported.
The last article you opined on with this really bizarre line of reasoning was written by a journalist and published in an outlet who have been critiquing all those administrations. You chose to steer the discussion toward political affiliation. So for you, torturing children for 'crimes' of their parents is much less prescient morally than who raises the complaint.
The articles main thrust is that prior administrations gathered up all kinds of immigrants for deportation, not just violent criminals. ( BTW, current deportations include over 10% convicted violent criminals ). What’s the tie to torturing children?
more money for doing nothing? i don't want to live in a world like that. what part of this is not clear?
two options
- the 4000 employees can still be employed in block - thats around $600,000,000 that goes into literally no value and this is price borne by us consumers
- or the 4000 employees get fired and work in different companies that actually require them so that we as consumers can actually buy more products
by choosing option 1, you not only accept that as consumers we pay more for the product, but also miss out on other valuable work the 4000 employees can do. no good economy runs this way.
And after 4 to 8 years of Democrats running things and nothing improving, the people vote Republicans just in case it's better. It keeps happening. It's the circle of life!
People only think nothing improved because thats what Republicans are saying. Anyone even mildly politically informed can see the progress that happens under Democrat leadership.
Sadly apt. Democrats don’t make progress fast enough, while Republicans pull us backwards on vaccines, diversity, environment, abortion, healthcare, global prominence, naked corruption, oligarchy, theocracy, and military oppression.
