I am always fascinated by the diseases that us Boomers have either had as children or have been vaccinated against way back in the past. Those diseases that have almost been forgotten until there is a sudden outbreak.
Measles: had it at around age 6, ditto whooping cough.
Rubella: had it around age 12.
Chicken Pox: Had it around 6 months old.
Small Pox: Vaccinated against it around 22 when going overseas.
Tuberculosis: Vaccinated against it around 21 while working in a hospital.
I have had other vaccinations of course, but those later ones were for the more common diseases of today, not diseases which have been more or less wiped out in the last 60 or so years.
When I was at primary school, measles was pretty much always around somewhere in the town.
